Development
I've spent more time coding that I have with my family (I'm not proud, I'm just saying). My keyboard has been a pillow, a placemat and a punching bag. Development has given me food on my table, a roof over my head and thousands of pieces of information that have been absolutely no help to me socially.
ColdFusion is my transition language: way back in 1996 ColdFusion turned me from a "Web Designer" into a "Web Developer". Well over a decade later it's still going strong and still the best choice for Web application development.
I hate JavaScript almost as much as I love JavaScript. Any language both this powerful and this misunderstood is going to generate mixed feelings.
